Post: Two-sport athlete at New Egypt, where she was a four-year varsity starter … batted .320 at the plate her senior year … registered five doubles in a game and tallied 19 stolen bases during her sophomore season … flashed the leather with a .990 fielding percentage … helped the Warriors capture the state championship title in 2006 … also played field hockey and led the team to seven conference championships.
Personal: Younger of Wally and Linda Hopkins’ two children … admires her grandmother most outside of sports … plans to pursue a career in education.
