2008-09: Played in all 31 games…shot 45-for-69 from the floor (.652), totalling 109 points…avereaged 3.5 per game in both points and rebounds…brought down 115 boards while chipping in 7 steals…was the leader in rebounds in four separate games with 9 against Lock Haven University, Molloy, and STAC and 8 against Dowling.
Prior to C.W. Post: Transfer from Fresno State… played in 15 games in 2007-08 and six in 2006-07 before suffering a season-ending an injury…as a freshman he appeared in 17 games while averaging eight minutes a contest….earned Academic All-WAC honors and was also named a Fresno State Scholar Athlete…graduated high school from Our Savior New American in Centereach, where he was a three-year varsity letterwinner for Ronald Seltzer’s squad, earning all-state honors and behing selected as team captain…was a McDonald’s All-American nominee as a senior.
Personal: Son of Francois Mbiaya and Micheline Ymkwin ... has two brothers, Stephane and Francis, and two sisters, Christie and Veronie ... speaks three languages fluently (Bangante, French and English)… majoring in sociology.
