2009: All-ECC Second Team Pitcher … posted a 4-1 record with a 3.21 ERA … appeared in 14 games with eight starts … threw 73.0 innings, giving up 33 runs (26 earned) on 63 hits … struck out 67 batters while walking only 22 … threw 6.2 innings giving up four runs on four hits and four walks while striking out four in a 5-4 win over Dowling (March 22) … tossed a complete game shutout, giving up seven hits while striking out eight against Mercy (April 17) … struck out a season high 12 batter s over eight innings in a 4-3 loss to Concordia (April 25) … threw a complete game, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out nine in a 5-2 win over Queens (April 29).
Prior to C.W. Post: Transfer from Nassau Community College, where he received second team all-region honors…played four years of varsity baseball at Glen Cove under coach John Dolecki, helping the team to a county finals appearance in 2004…also won the division title from 2001-2004…was named all-division in 2002, all-county in 2004, and led the county in strike outs in 2004.
Personal: Son of John and Mary…has a brother and two sisters…lists Josh Beckett as his favorite athlete…hopes to pursue a career in law enforcement…criminal justice major.
