2007: Daktronics All-Region second team…All-East Coast Conference first team…compiled a 6-1 record with an ECC-best 2.14 earned run average…limited batters to a .237 batting average, and scattered 55 hits and 24 walks while striking out 52 in 63 innings pitched…also had two saves early on in the year, and held left-handed hitters to a .158 batting average.
2006: Made five appearances and completed 19.1 innings, including one complete game.
2005: Pitched 15.0 innings in nine appearances, including one start.
Before C.W. Post: Played two years for the Farmingdale SHS varsity baseball team … the team was a county finalist in 2003 … named all-league and all-conference … named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 2004 … also played for the Long Island Mariners.
Personal: Son of Don Karlsen and Annemarie Rosa … has two younger brothers, Danny and Chris and a sister, Marisa … his father played baseball for C.W. Post from 1974-78 while his uncle, Doug Karlsen, played football from 1976-80 … is a member of the Forensic Science Club on campus … majoring in forensic science.
