Each team scored a run in the seventh inning to force the game into extra frames.

In the bottom of the ninth, senior third baseman Steve Algarroba (Astoria, N.Y.) singled to the second baseman and advanced to second on a throwing error by the second baseman. Mike Sylvester was intentionally walked and Bonin singled to right center to load the bases for Walker. Algarroba came around to score the winning run.
