McNamara Named IWLCA North Region Coach of the Year

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association recently released its Coach of the Year Awards, and C.W. Post first-year head coach Meghan McNamara was named the Division II North Region Coach of the Year.
Under McNamara's tutelage, five players were IWLCA All-Americans, including senior midfielder Mallory Poole (Corning, N.Y.), senior goalkeeper Lauren Scipione (East Meadow, N.Y.), junior midfielder Katie Hogan (Farmingdale, N.Y.), junior attacker Jaclyn Napoli (West Islip, N.Y.) and sophomore defender Kim Williams (Long Valley, N.Y.).
In her first season at the helm of the Pioneers, McNamara led the team to a second straight appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championship title game while posting a 17-2 record on the season. The Pioneers finished the season ranked second in the nation.
