Unbeaten Men's Basketball Second In NABC Poll

KANSAS CITY (Jan. 20, 2009) The C.W. Post men's basketball team's moved up a spot in this week's NABC Division II Poll, claiming the number two spot.  At 12-0, the Pioneers and top-ranked Findlay are the only two unbeaten teams in Division II.  

Findlay (Ohio) (14-0) recieved all eight first place votes.
 
The Pioneers (12-0, 6-0 ECC) posted a 3-0 record last week, picking up wins over Concordia and NYIT at home and beating the University of Bridgeport on the road. Four players averaged double figures on the week, led by Nick Carter with 24.3 ppg, Kenny Burkes with 14.3, Lyndon Daniel with 13.3 and Jonathan Schmidt with 11.7. 

C.W. Post is the highest Northeast team ranked in the poll, joined by Stonehill College, ranked 13th.  UMass-Lowell recieved votes in the poll.

The Pioneers are on the road for their next two games, a 7 p.m. matchup at Molloy College on Wednesday, Jan. 21, and a trip to Dowling College for a 3 p.m. game on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 3 p.m.
