Swimming Falls In Dual Meet to Siena, 127-61
LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. (Dec. 4, 2010) – Siena College took 11 of the 13 events during Saturday's dual-meet to defeat C.W. Post 127-61 after tallying all finishes. The Pioneers did manage six second place finishes in which the Saints earned first place victories to help keep pace during the day.
The only individual victory for C.W. Post came during the 12th event of the day, as freshman
Chelcee Hew (Savage, Minn.) clocked a time of 1:10.16 to take the 100 yard Breast. Hew also managed second place finishes in the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Free.
C.W. Post also finished first during the last relay event of the day, however all teams were scheduled as exhibition so the scores did go into the final tallies of the day. The team compiled of four sophomores,
Mairi Morrison (Carnock, United Kingdom),
Sandra Kirstein (Hollviken, Sweden),
Cornelia Hanes (Stocholm, Sweden), and
Kristina Fritsch (Brooklyn, N.Y.), were able to register a time of 3:41.03.
Next on the schedule for the Pioneer women's swimming team will be a dual-match against Rowan next Saturday, Dec. 11.
