C.W. Post Women's Swimming Finished 26th at NCAA Championships
PALO ALTO, TEXAS (March 18, 2011) – The C.W. Post women's swimming team finished 26th at the NCAA Championships last weekend in Texas. The squad also saw individual swimmers two Honorable Mention All-American Nods, the relay team earned three Honorable Mentions on the final day of competition.
Riley Cassidy (Cambridge, Ontario) earned 15th place during the 100 Fly event. This began the awards for the Pioneers, with Cassidy earning an Honorable Mention All American award for her performance.
Cornelia Hanes (Stockholm, Sweden) also earned Honorable Mention All American, as she earned 16th place during the 100 Free.
Cassidy and Hanes then teamed with Tamara Garriock (Duncan, Canada) and Mairi Morrison (Carnock, United Kingdom) to earn three Honorable Mention All-American Awards. The first came during a 13th place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. Next, the team earned 16th place in the 400 Medley Relay. And finally, the C.W. Post relay team finished 14th during the 200 Free Relay.
