BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Apr. 13, 2015) - After going 2-2 last week against regionally ranked opponents St. Thomas Aquinas and Dowling, the LIU Post baseball team has earned the No. 10 spot in this week's NCBWA East Region Rankings.
The Pioneers (11-10) dropped their series finale to the now No. 5 St. Thomas Aquinas (17-9-1), before taking two of three from now No. 6 Dowling (17-6).
This is the first time the green and gold have cracked the Top-10 after receiving votes in the previous two rankings.
This week, LIU Post wraps up a four-game set with East Coast Conference rival Dowling on Monday (Apr. 13). The first pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m. out in Brookhaven, N.Y. Then, the Pioneers play host to Dominican on Thursday (Apr. 16) before opening a four-game set with Bridgeport on Friday (Apr. 17).
