CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (May 2, 2016) - After hitting .500 in three games last week, LIU Post freshman outfielder Dave Brehm (Bohemia, N.Y.) has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Brehm had the best game of his young career in an 11-4 win over Concordia College last Wednesday (Apr. 27). The righty went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and his two-run single in the fifth inning gave LIU Post the lead for good.

With those four RBIs, Brehm is second amongst freshman on the team with 10 runs driven in.

Brehm and the Pioneers return to action on Friday (May 7), when they host Mercy College in the final four-game set of the regular season. First pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m.
