BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - Senior forward
Kaycee Zelkovsky registered seven points as the fourth-ranked LIU Post field hockey team upended 10th-ranked Merrimack in Northeast-10 action on Friday afternoon at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
The contest was all Pioneers (11-2, 6-2 NE10) as they scored the first six goals before allowing the Warriors (9-4, 5-3 NE10) to get on the board with less than 10 minutes left to play.
Zelkovsky fed freshman

Julie Gysels to double the green and gold's lead. After an unassisted marker by junior forward
Emily Miller in the 22nd minute, LIU Post took a 3-0 lead into the intermission.
Zelkovsky notched the first two tallies of the latter stanza before sophomore
Tarryn Morris registered her first goal of the year in the 59th minute.
Freshman

The Pioneers return to action on Monday (Oct. 16) when they host Bellarmine for a 3 p.m. matchup at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
