Brookville, N.Y. – Behind a four-point, three-goal performance by
Emily Miller the No. 4 LIU Post field hockey squad tacked on another win to their 2017 campaign with a 4-0 win over Bellarmine University on Monday afternoon. With the win, the Pioneers improve to 12-2 on the year as the Knights slide to 6-10.
The Pioneers struck first at the helm of Miller, as she converted a
Kaycee Zelkovsky helper in the third minute to give the green and gold the advantage.
Taylor Brodsky doubled LIU Post's tally courtesy of a Miller ball in the 11th minute. Miller contributed to the hosts' third goal of the game slotting home her 24th goal of the season.
Up 3-0 in the beginning of the second half, Miller completed the hat trick to defeat the Knights 4-0.
The Pioneers held the advantage in shots (12) but the Knights were awarded six corners compared to LIU Posts' five.
