CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Feb. 21, 2017) - After an outstanding debut on the mound, LIU Post baseball freshman southpaw Noah Lorenzo (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) was selected as the East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Lorenzo tossed seven innings of seven-hit, two-run (one earned), 10-strikeout ball in a 9-2 win over Gannon last Saturday (Feb. 18).

He stranded seven runners (three in scoring position) in the complete-game effort and threw 90 pitches, 70 of which were strikes.

Lorenzo and the Pioneers return to the diamond Thursday (Feb. 23), when they face Southern New Hampshire University at the 2017 Northeast Challenge at 6 p.m. in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
