SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Sophomore Dan McClure earned an 8-0 major decision victory to help lead the LIU Post wrestling team past a shorthanded American International College squad, 37-11 Feb. 10.
 
The match featured just three contested bouts, as the Yellow Jackets announced forfeits in five of the first six weight classes to ultimately secure a victory for the Pioneers. After a no contest was declared at 125, the next six weight classes were declared forfeits, giving the Pioneers a 30-6 advantage heading into the 184 weight class.
 
McClure controlled the bout at 184 against Isaiah Collins, scoring on two takedowns and a reversal, leading to the 8-0 major decision and a 34-6 Pioneer lead. Fellow sophomore Bobby Pease earned the final win of the day for the Green and Gold, using a takedown and a reversal to hold off a late charge by Geovanni Medina for a 9-8 decision victory. 
 
The Pioneers return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 13 when they travel to Pennsylvania for a matchup with East Stroudsburg University beginning at 7:00 p.m. in their final tune-up before the NCAA Super Region I Championship.
