NCBWA RELEASE

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – For the third week in a row, the LIU Post baseball team checked in at No. 4 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) East Region Poll.
 
With 64 points the Pioneers maintained their No. 4 ranking and went a perfect 4-0 last week.
 
On Tuesday, April 16 the Pioneers earned a 5-1 victory over the University of Bridgeport at the LIU Post Baseball Stadium then followed with a 7-2 triumph over Molloy College on Thursday, April 15 at Mitchel Field.
 
LIU Post returned to Mitchel Field on Saturday, April 20 on earned a doubleheader sweep of the Lions. The Pioneers took game on 8-1 and game two 3-2.
 
With a 17-2 record in East Coast Conference (ECC) play, the Pioneers sit atop of the conference standings.
