Joshua Loeschorn of the LIU Post baseball team continued to add to his list of postseason accolades Wednesday evening when the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) named him to the All-America Second Team.
Loeschorn's All-America honor adds to an already impressive list of postseason recognitions; he was named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings East Region Pitcher of the Year and to the ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region First Team.
He was also named to the NCBWA All-East Region First Team and to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East Region First Team. Loeschorn was the East Coast Conference (ECC) Pitcher and Rookie of the Year along with being an ECC All-Conference First Team honoree.
With a 10-0-3 record including four complete games and two shutouts in 2019, Loeschorn produced some of the most impressive statistics in the country. His .74 WHIP leads the nation, his 1.34 ERA ranks second and his 5.47 hits allowed per nine innings is fifth. Loeschorn's 1.23 walks allowed per nine innings ranks 15th and his 6.09 strikeout-to-walk ratio is 20th.
