WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – Freshman Joshua Loeschorn of the LIU Post baseball team garnered his third East Coast Conference (ECC) weekly honor of the season after he was named Pitcher of the Week following a pair of dominant wins, as announced by the conference Monday.
 
Loeschorn had a stellar week on the mound for the Pioneers, finishing out just shy of tossing back-to-back complete game shutouts. He earned two wins, striking out 13 and not allowing a single run and only two walks in 15.2 innings while only allowing six hits.
 
He started the week by tossing 8.2 innings of four-hit ball with 12 strikeouts in a win over the New York Institute of Technology on Monday, April 29. Later in the week against Queens College on Saturday, May 4 he threw a two-hit, complete game shutout and did not allow a walk in the Pioneers' 2-0 victory.
 
The ECC also tabbed Loeschorn as Pitcher of the Week on Monday, April 8 and as Rookie of the Week on Monday, April 22.
 
He currently leads the nation in WHIP with .72 and has the tenth-lowest ERA, 1.64. His 5.20 hits allowed per nine innings is ranked tenth nationally.
