INDIANAPOLIS – After finishing East Coast Conference (ECC) play Monday with highest win percentage in ECC games in history, the LIU Post baseball team moved up to No. 3 in the NCAA Division II East Region.
After being tabbed No. 5 last week the Pioneers jumped up two spots after winning five out of their last six contests, with two wins coming over the New York Institute of Technology and three against Queens College.
Upon the conclusion of the Pioneers' final regular season game against Queens on Monday, May 6 LIU Post's .857 winning percentage in ECC play topped the previous mark of .800 set by Saint Thomas Aquinas College in 2017.
With a 24-4 record in ECC games, the Pioneers also eclipsed the previous conference wins record of 22 set by Molloy College in 2011 and LIU Post in 2010.
